It Was Beverage of Choice
It was Margaritaville on Tuesday Open Comment Night. We were celebrating being alive for another week. The Margaritas were BJ’s fine idea, and the margarita glasses were elegant to say the least. Still we made sure everyone had their beverage of choice. So things started out very nicely.
Then Link Leak Virus seeped into our discussion of what we would drink. — The Link Leak Virus is a special strain of the indie virus with blogtipping mutations that occur in threes at Open Comment Night they become a link free-for-all.
Welcome to Mike. It was great fun having you!

The Conversation Was Salty
How could the conversation be anything but interesting with a cast of characters like you find on open comment night here?
Scorpia and I had a quiet drink before the crowd arrived. We were discussing cognac when BJ came. BJ revealed she is a sea salt snob.
Douglas stopped in to leave, but he came back again for some verbal volleyball later in the night.
Renée stopped by despite a migraine that was making her sick. So we did some triage and sent her home to sleep. We hope she’s feeling better, lots better by now.
Joe told us about drinking Prairie Fire, which is something I think I have no desire to go near — He’s much braver than I. — I don’t want to think about even trying to drink one.
Sheila explained that a Conch is someone from Key West and that the famous “green flaxh” at sunset only happens occasionally. You can find her expert travel notes on margaritas in the Appendices to this post.
Twenty-Steps Mike explained his plan how to make one million by doubling his money twenty times, He said that as early as $8 folks started to think he might have a trick up his sleeve.
Ah Pek said his choice is not margaritas or tequila, but beer anytime please.
Cat decided that breakfast and margaritas are not such a good idea, especially when there’s a project to get out. So instead she left us with a recipe for Long Island ice tea.
Meanwhile Scot, who came just for a sec, said he loved the pix of the margartia glasses, asked if we needed drink recipes and then disappeared.
Meikah had her first margarita in such a long time. She brightened up the whole night with her playful teasing. Gosh, it was fun.
Ben stopped in after the game, but he was close to dead tired. Poor thing. He left right before . . .
Becky came through the door — her arms filled with supplies for making margaritas and other tasty beverages. As she unloaded her treasures and passed them around, Becky explained that liquid products were likely to leak links.
Sean showed up after CSI. He said he was wrapped in it. Does that mean he has a wrap sheet I wonder? Speaking of that, he mentioned the new 7 wonders of the world that we can all vote on. That was his clever link of the week.
Samuel John Klein stopped by to tell one of his wonderful stories — this one featured this trademarked wife (Really!) and tequila. The story sent Sean quoting statements from Hitchhiker’s Guide, after he’d just won a lifetime supply of Rice-a-Roni.
Jessica Doyle stopped by as well. She thought she was late. I told her that open comments go on, and on, and on, and on, and on at this place all of the time. So no one has quite figured out when late would be.
So ended another bright dialogue among a great bunch of intelligent, cool people with imaginations. Don’t miss the Appendices that follow. Sorry my project deadline slowed this report down by a day.

Momââ¬â¢s Favorite Margaritas
3 parts tequila (usu. Hussongs)
3 parts triple sec (or Cointreau)
2 parts fresh lime juice
Those are killers! Most people donââ¬â¢t put that much liquor in them.
Boy it’s something when a rambling conversation now comes with an Introductiona AND Appendices too! That’s the added-value of this folks who hang out here.
